Vegetation Dynamic in a Large Floodplain Wetland: The Effects of Hydroclimatic Regime

چکیده
Floodplain wetlands are among the most dynamic ecosystems on Earth, featuring high biodiversity and productivity. They also sensitive to anthropogenic disturbances globally threatened. Understanding how flow regime drives spatiotemporal dynamics of wetland habitats is fundamental effective conservation practices. In this study, using Landsat imagery random forest (RF) machine learning algorithm, we mapped winter distribution four (i.e., Carex meadow, reedbed, mudflat, shallow water) in East Dongting Lake, a Ramsar middle lower Yangtze Basin China, for 34 years (1988–2021). The were explored through pixel-by-pixel comparisons. Further, response variations was investigated generalized additive mixed models (GAMM). Our results demonstrated constant expansion reedbeds shrinkage mudflats, that there three processes contributing reduction mudflat: (1) permanent replacement by reedbed; (2) irreversible loss water; (3) transitional swapping with meadow. These changes relative extent may degrade function wetland. Moreover, duration dry season date water level withdrawal identified as key parameters shaping size habitats. However, different vegetation showed distinct responses regime: while meadow increased earlier longer season, reedbed continuously expanded independent corresponding increase rainfall. findings suggested acts concert other factors, such climate change sand mining river channels, driving habitat transition floodplain landscape. Therefore, can only be achieved diverse restoration strategies addressing all drivers.

critical period effects in foreign language learning:the influence of maturational state on the acquisition of reading, writing, and grammar in english as a foreign language
since the 1960s the age effects on learning both first and second language have been explored by many linguists and applied linguists (e.g lennerberg, 1967; schachter, 1996; long, 1990) and the existence of critical period for language acquisition was found to be a common ground of all these studies. in spite of some common findings, some issues about the impacts of age on acquiring a second or...

Amphibian Abundance and Detection Trends During a Large Flood in a Semi-Arid Floodplain Wetland
—Amphibian abundance and occupancy are often reduced in regulated river systems near dams, but comparatively little is known about how they are affected on floodplain wetlands downstream or the effects of actively managed flows. We assessed frog diversity in the Macquarie Marshes, a semi-arid floodplain wetland of conservation significance, identifying environmental variables that might explain...

abstract reception environment has considerable effects on accepting a translation. as the expectations of a target culture and its values and needs change throughout history, its criteria for accepting a translation or rejecting it will change accordingly (gentzler, 2001). the expectations of iran, as the reception environment in the present study, have changed after the islamic revolution. i...
